Cost

Beryllium is based on open standards making it easier to integrate into existing corporate infrastructures. Additionally, it offers compelling advantages over existing technologies by overcoming a number of their limitations while keeping the cost of deployment to a minimum. The licensing for Beryllium (the model is described below) will have zero cost. Therefore, the deployment cost will consist of the cost of pilot, hardware, training, integration and possible customization effort.
Licensing and Support

Beryllium with source code will be provided freely without any restrictions on its use or modification. Redistribution of the software, with or without modifications, will be allowed as long as the resulting terms are the same as those in the original license. Adeptech Systems will provide general software releases for the software without any fee. Since, Beryllium is provided with source code and it relies on open standards as well as proven technologies, support issues are expected to be minimal. Due to Beryllium s openness, it is expected that there will be significant community support for the software.

Integration

Integration of Beryllium will not require any significant changes to a corporate network infrastructure. This solution may be immediately available upon its deployment to all applications servers utilizing TCP/IP communication protocols. Communications between the Master Server and the Slave Server will be based on SSL technology; therefore, no new proxies will be required for the security perimeter devices.

Default Deployment Configuration

Beryllium will have a safe default configuration out-of-the-box . There will be a number of options on priorities, destination, various thresholds and monitoring frequencies available as policy parameters. These parameters may be defined in a configuration file prior to initialization of the software.
